Disruption: A New Outlook
Ever feel stuck in a rut? Convinced limitations are walls you can't climb?
As I reflect on my vision for this new year [I know, It's far past the time new year’s resolutions but who says I can only set my intentions one day a year?], I ask myself these questions - what are the things that hold me back? How can I overcome them? How do I want to show up this year?
Enter my new mini, fine art series, called Disruption – a rebellion against self-imposed borders and a celebration of the transformative power of just doing it. Good bye perfectionism and limiting beliefs, hello to trying things I've never tried and creating for the joy of creating.
The art community tells me that in order to be successful, I need to stick to one medium and one style with similar colors and subjects. This year, it is my goal to step out of the box I've allowed my self to be confined to. It's not that serious. Art is meant to be fun after all. I'll explore different styles, mediums, colors and will even paint from new locations - yes, painting in the wild. Who knows what inspiration I may find outside of my comfy studio!

As for me, I'm off to a year of chasing artistic whims, creating just for the joy of creating and giving the proverbial middle finger to that inner voice of limitation. I challenge you to question your own mindset. What thought processes are holding you back from that one thing [or many things if you’re anything like me] you want to do?
Drop me a line, I'd love to hear what’s on your mind!
